The Hardware Emulation Platform set up at C-DAC consists of the Veloce Emulator from Siemens.

The Emulation Platform combines hardware, Operating System, applications and peripheral solutions that help address the verification and validation challenges faced by designers of complex SoCs. This prototyping technology with the latest powerful hardware-assisted verification methodologies enables the rapid verification of highly sophisticated IC designs.

 

This hardware-assisted verification system comprises of the following main components:

  • Veloce Strato hardware and OS
  • Veloce Apps
  • Veloce Protocol Solutions

The current configuration of the Emulation Platform has a Compute facility of 128 CPU cores and capacity of 640 million gates.

The Hardware Emulation Platform is implemented with support from MeitY, Govt. of India and is now made available for use by
Start-ups approved under C2S programme and DLI scheme.


General guidelines

Follow the instructions below to register.

  1. Applicants shall fill and submit the registration form.
  2. The signed license agreements given below are to be uploaded along with the application.

  3. Applications will be processed, and eligible applicants once approved can access the C-DAC Hardware Emulation Platform.
        

Follow the instructions below to access the Emulator.

  1. Login with the registered email and OTP in the ISEA-VLAB Platform.
  2. To enroll for the training, click the access tab under My Trainings > Hardware Emulation Platform > Vlabs and then click enroll tab in available courses.
  3. Once enrolled for the training, the user can access VLAB by clicking the access tab under My Trainings > Hardware Emulation Platform > Vlabs
  4. The Hardware Emulation LAB will be listed among the available courses.
  5. Click on "Reserve V-Lab Slot" and select one or multiple time slots as needed (10 minute gap between consecutive time slots).
  6. The V-Lab can then be accessed by clicking the "Start V-lab" button at the scheduled time (Ensure pop-ups are enabled on the browser).
  7. The run must be completed within the duration of the selected time slots.
